Peter is a Clinical Psychologist based in Adelaide with over 9 years of experience in private practice and works exclusively with adults (18+).
Peter is a Registered Psychologist with Clinical Endorsement under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Peter is a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
Peter has a non-judgemental and approachable communication style. Peter has always been interested in psychology; particularly learning why we do what we do and how we can modify unhelpful habits in thought and behaviour. As a Clinical Psychologist, Peter is motivated to developing genuine rapport and build meaningful, collaborative goals that are tailored to you. Peter is committed to gain a shared understanding of your challenges and increase your confidence and skill in managing your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. Peter recognises and appreciates the role of lifestyle factors that influence our mental health and strongly advocates for improving this core domain.
Throughout Peter's education, he developed a deep appreciation for science, which guides his grounding in evidence-based treatments, drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE) and Mindfulness, as well as others.
Peter is interested and dedicated to continue a journey of professional development by attending conferences and learning new treatment approaches.

Peter also provides psychology services to adult NDIS participants (self-managed and plan-managed), with an emphasis on enhancing functional capacity. Therapy is tailored to each individual's goals and aims to build the skills needed for greater independence, meaningful participation in everyday life, and improved social and community engagement. Areas of support may include:

Emotional regulation, organisation, problem-solving, and self-confidence.

Social, communication, and interpersonal skills to strengthen relationships and community participation.

Psychoeducation and skills training for participants to promote confidence, independence, and sustainable progress.
The following services are typically unable to be provided by Peter as he may not be the most suitable service or it can create a conflict of interest with ongoing treatment:

Reports/letters for medico-legal, workplace, custody/DCP or legal/forensic matters

Services under Chronic Disease Management Plans

Cognitive, educational or vocational assessments

Comprehensive diagnostic assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or Autism (Peter provides therapy to individuals with these conditions, but is unable to provide diagnostic assessment reports)

Intensive support requirements between appointments (e.g., suicide risk, frequent hospitalisations, severe boundary or aggression issues)
Although Peter does not provide the services listed above, he will be happy to direct you to services that may be more suitable if this was encountered while engaging in sessions.
